Silver Eclipse

We're a four person band from Uhrichsville, Ohio. We play a lot locally and our pretty popular near here. We play a little bit of everything, from country to oldies to brand new rock releases. We range in age from thirteen to sixteen and have a lot of roadies/groupies who follow us about everywhere.
Why this name?
We used to be called "Mother's Nightmare" but no one would hire us. We sat around and thought of cool words one day. We came up with "Silver Eclipse". A lot of people seemed to like it.
Do you play live?
Of course we play live. We've played everywhere nearby and have a pretty full summer schedule. I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world. Special moments? Like forgetting words to your original song? Watching a drumset about fall off of a three foot stage? Setting up for a gig and getting nothing but feedback? Hearing someone yell "Freebird!" and actually playing it? Yeah... we have a few of those.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Heck yeah! Three out of the four of us are for sure looking for a career in music, whether it's a band director or a world touring act we want to be able to do it someday.
Band History:
It started in 2002 when Bradon Smith and Stephen Tripp were playing "Smoke on the Water" for 8 hours a day. Those were the good ol' days. Then we picked up my brother Chris Tripp and handed him a bass. That was about a year and a half ago (and he still doesn't have a clue of what he's doing). Then a few months ago we added our keyboard player Kimmie Carlisle. We all sing and we all can play each others instruments. Makes for fun times on stage.
Your influences?
We do a lot of 3 Doors Down type music, if you look at our song list you'll have a hard time finding someone who doesn't know at least 15 of the songs. A little bit of everything.
Favorite spot?
Playing in downtown Dennison. It's a small town and as soon as you hit the first chord EVERYONE comes out to listen to you. Great feeling, knowing that you've captured the attention of the entire community.

Anything else...?
We would like to thank our parents for putting up with that noise we make that some people call music. Art Tripp (my dad) for running sound and trying to be our manager. Another big shout out to Jackie and Mel, they make food for us. Special thanks to Lions Den Productions, where we recorded our demo. And to all our followers/groupies. You guys rock!
