Why this name?
a member's youth group came up with the name MOTEL EARTH it refers to our temporary status here in the world
Do you play live?
yes we do play live, it's most of our ministry trying to reach people who need the truth
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
the internet and mp3 technology has made music more portable and while file sharing might make music less lucrative for some, for us it broadens our potential audience and can help us go where God would have us go.

17 years of music ministry in northern Illinois
Your influences?
ours is not complicated, elaborate music. just five guys (yes, we need a new picture!) who grew up in the 70's and who love the Lord, making music that feels right to us.
Favorite spot?
no matter where I end up, home with my family is always the best

mostly old gear that works well and feels good.
