The Rebel Rose Band perform Line Dancing Shows and in the process of reorganizing for Elaine Akin's Album Release "I'll Be True To You." All songs are all original written by Elaine Akins and parents, Bill & Mary Akins and 2 songs written by Gary Zimmerman, Producer & Songwriter. Donations will be made to the Children of the World Trade Center Tragedy with all sales.

Why this name?
Rebel for my co-writer, Cecil Mays whose nickname was Rebel and Rose was my grandmother's name. We picked the name together before Cecil died.
Do you play live?
I play live sometimes at the C-note in Manhattan, NYC and open mike songwriter's clubs.
I love playing with my Band when we get a line dance teacher and we get work. Our best moment was when we played at the Crowne Plaza in Flushing, NY and received a Thank You for the great time our audience had. It was our last performance in awhile and we had hired 2 new players.

How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It is fantastic!! Offers independence for artists and musicians to sell their music.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
It would take a very solid contract and a lot of money because I have spent hours working on the music for this album as well as those of my parents who wrote over 100 songs together.
Band History:
I have worked with different bands but my band, The Rebel Rose Band played together for 3 1/2 years mainly in NYC for The Kiwani's, The Crowne Plaza and Herald Square till Sept., 2002. We also performed for Woodside Community Street fairs. I hope to be playing by the spring, with the release of my new album "I'll Be True To You."
