Hi, I'm Christopher R. Bly, a composer/producer, currently attending Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts. Here are some pieces of mine. Hope you enjoy.
Band History:
Chirstopher Bly grew up in Macungie PA, where from an early age teachers and friends knew that he would one day be destined for musical greatness. At twelve years old, Chris got his hands on his first drumset – many evenings were spent jamming to the grooves of Chad Smith, John Bonham and Mitch Mitchell.

Soon after starting on the drumset, Chris’ rock steady groove making led him to be recruited by “Q-Ball” a band that garnered a steady fanbase over most of PA and parts of New York State.

Since that time Chris has continued to grow musically by branching out into marching band playing the FULL range of percussion instruments for Emmaus Highschool Marching Band. It was that experience that gave Chris his trademark “groove lockdown”.

Chris is currently continuing his musical education at The Berklee College of Music in Boston Mass., where he is focusing on composition and contemporary music production. Chris’ production prowess has lead to his inking a deal with Canadian Band “Event Horizon” to produce their first Full length album. Be sure to check out the media section for examples of Chris’ work – both in front and behind the production console.
Your influences?
In writing music I try to grasp from all different of genres from, pop to rock, from R&B to classical. My attempts at becoming a great composer I try to take from something that is familiar to the ear but completely new.
Equipment used:
I use a G4 powerbook mac lap top, with finale for writing. For recording I use Digital Performer, along with reason. I have Kontak and Garratian personal orchestra for midi instruments. For mastering I use waves comprossors and reverbs, and for hardware in recording I use a Mark of the Unicorn mk828II
