Cion' is about chilling, getting his. He's a man at peace with himself, and others. The style of rap he projects with a smooth, and at times rough image clearly show's Cion's cunning way of expression is making a way...and is here to stay.
With lines such as: "Check the poets thesis/ calculations and points increases/ supreme species/ flash forwards of island breezes/ mystics foul as Jesus/ atrocities coke visa's/ insight precise/ frigid from ice/ notion in heathens"...
Cion's a new voice in raps underground, and will leave you famish for more. He is on a level some will not comprehend, but the real will understand.
He is a very universal rapper, touching basis with topics such as: Women, bit*hes, friends, money, fake friends, set up's, religion, and the streets. His somewhat divine rap flow seems to find its way into the minds of the highest intellectuals, to the un-informed souls on the streets.
He makes his presence known with his luminous essence, and smooth talk, but yet a very discrete person who manages to stay on the low. Cion' is a man with a clear mind, and knows what he's after, and doesn't have a problem telling the world.
With more lines like: "Move with all precision/ and the persistence to find what's given/ vivid to existence/ keep me insistent/ to find this living"...
The man show's he is real...He also follows that line with: "Zone to new dimensions/ calculate broader decisions/ heard in every sentence/ known for smooth style verbal inventions"...
Now, don't get it twisted, if the lyrics you have been reading are a little too smooth for your taste; Cion' spits it down for the other side of the streets with raw lines such as:
" Keep thinking sh*t sweet/ fu*k rhymes/ I'll slug up your cheeks/ stain the streets/ with multi plugs/ like "Now's" from bleek"...
THE MAN IS HOT TO DEATH...POINT BLANK!!
So as you can see, Cion' is hitting this game from all angles. This is the man to check out for the MILLENNIUM...He's definitely Y2K ready. With his do what you have to do, malice, smooth hustler flows; Cion's definitely mastered the game within himself, and is ready to play.
DEAL HIM IN!!

Why this name?
Cion' was a name I came up with one night in like 98'. I had the name ICON , in which I still use as a 2nd name as Nas use Escobar. Well, like I said I had ICON, which is like a God symbol, a sacred image. That's how I feel. Like I'm here to say what I have to say. God put us all here for a reason, well I know mines. I'm here to set forth my knowledge, and words to these streets; tell MY story.
Every rapper has a story to tell, its just some are more interesting than others...its just like reading a book; Some are good, some you don't bother to finish. So, I had ICON as my main name, but then I felt that name could cause a lot of controversy toward me from a lot of people. That's something I didn't want nor need before I even got my foot in the door. So what I did was looked at the name I-C-O-N...I-C-ON...I See ON. I took the "C" and put it in front of the "I", and had Cion'...it went perfect with me, and everything I stood for. I SEE ON...plain and simple. So, that was that. I had Cion' which basically meant "I see on" beyond all the bull sh*** people, and the bull sh*** people talk about.
I still use ICON because its still how I feel about myself. Look at the spelling..."I-C-ON"...or "I SEE ON"...feel me! Its all the same if you flip it.

How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It really depends on the artist stature. An independent artist such as Cion' could find great use of Mp3's and websites that offer this kind of tool, because it's pure promotion...Free promotion. On another side of things, have it be you are a more established artist who doesn't need the likeliness of such sites for promotion because you have far larger campaigns, Free Mp3's may hurt your sales...it's a double standards.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
We're working on a few things now, but we'll see what happens.

"Earning a spot at the top, Cion’s abrasive, intense, hard hitting rhyme schematics deliver hip hop fans into the heat of open fire. Non stop empowered rhyme lines push Cion' to climb above the rest of the pack. Cion' is a overly impressive lyricist, and in harmony he rides some of the best beats going. Keep both eye’s wide open, because Cion' is about to hit you hard..."
