play lo-fi play hi-fi  Reflection in the Road
play lo-fi play hi-fi  Down Home Cowboy
I make music for listening. Not for Jesus, Great-Grandma Betty or un-neutered cats. Why? Cause, Homey don't play that game. My tracks get to the point and stay there. The only unifying characteristic to these diverse arrangements is their cadence. I ride a bicycle, a lot. Hence my mindset (and legs) are permanently trapped at 90-120 pedal revolutions a minute. Beats that ride with you.
Why this name?
Properly spoken as "Fifty-three Eleven," (drop the "x") it stands for the common highest gear ratio found on road bikes. For example, "He sprinted to across the finish line in his 53x11!" or "Pantani shifted down to 53x11 and destroyed them on the climb".
Your influences?
Johnny Cash, Talking Heads, Beck, Nine Inch Nails, Lou Reed
Anything else...?
As my year-round tan-lines indicate, I ride bikes a lot.
