The name was derived from a freestyle song when we were working on our first album.G is for Grifection and A is for Big A.

We play different venues every year.All over the Clarksville,TN area.We enjoy the different opportunities to showcase our music to an audience that may not have had the opportunity to hear it anywhere else.We have opened up for a few heavyweights of the rap industry.

It has a good point and a bad point.It makes the music more accesible for artist who doesn't have a powerhouse distribution and marketing engine.But for well established artists it makes it to easy to get there music and they lose royalties.

G&A was actually a side project to pass the time for a group called S.C.U.M. But once the streets got a hold of it they never let it go.The actual Group G&A was formed around 2002.

Stevie Wonder is the greatest influence to me,which is weird because of the type of music i do.I just think that for what he did with music and messaage it is a direct parrallel to what my music is.I am into all kinds of music though. I love hip hop,rock and roll,r&b,and even classical.A lot of people would not believe that we are into bands like Led Zepplin,The Beatles,Janis Joplin,Nirvana,Guns&Roses,Metallica,Van Morrison and others,but once the music hits you it doesn't matter what type of music it is.Other influences are Nas,Outkast,Wu-tang clan ,Ice Cube,Geto Boyz,Luther Vandross,Mary J.Blige,Anita Baker,Michael Jackson,Marvin Gaye,EWF(Earth,Wind and Fire),Faith no more,Barry White,2pac,Notorious B.I.G.,Jay-Z,Sade and many more.Though hip hop and r&b are our favorite I enjoy most music.
