AEPOC
NEWS
April 2004:
Huge update. Cleaned out the old AEPOC songs and put up a couple of our hits. For anyone familiar with our music, we've gone down a bit of a different path, as we've done away with keyboards and drum machines. Now we just rock, through and through.
Updated members, songs, and infos.

Why this name?
Our band name was fairly easy to come up with. 'An Electronic Pulse Of Creativity' is perfect. We do our music THROUGH a computer, which is where the 'electronic' part comes from. We put down the musical pulses that we hear in our heads, and we put them on our albums.
Do you play live?
We currently do not play live. If we did, it'd be more or less in Madison and Middleton, Wisconsin.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The internet and the mp3 format has helped the music industry morph into what it is today. We have bands that can now get their music heard over the internet and actually be making a difference in someone's life. Sadly, the main idea behind music is money. We have bands (ahemMetallicaCoughCoughCough) bickering about how much money they lost because of Napster. Really, WHO CARES? They've made a HELL of a lot of money over their years and do they REALLY need to complain about how much they lost because of Napster? No. I believe they should be quite happy because MORE people are listening to their music.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
We would sign with a major label to get our music heard. When people honestly like music, they pay for it... so some money would be in the deal as well, making our dream come true of being able to support ourselves without a need for a "job".
Band History:
Jason was in the 1-person band "jawa!" in 1997. Created "The Kaynine Project" in 1998 which lasted a year and a half. Was in "Drone Failure" in 1999, and left the band because he was doing all the work and taking no credit. Created AEPOC in June of 2000.
Your influences?
The musicians who have influenced us are: Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden (mainly Chris Cornell), Rage Against The Machine, Depeche Mode, Stabbing Westward, The Prodigy, Nine Inch Nails, Gravity Kills, Hate Department (Hate Dept.), and a tiny bit of Marilyn Manson.
Favorite spot?
My studio.
Equipment used:
We use Fender, Schecter, and Ernie Ball guitars. Ibanez and Fender basses Epiphone guitars, Ibanez bass guitars. Line6, THD, and Fender amps, Shure microphones.
Anything else...?
We're very diverse... whatever it is we want to create at the time we'll make. Hard rock? Sure, crank it up. Mellower, slower rock, not a problem. Pop/Rock... well, if you mean "Catchy Rock" then yes, we can pull that off too. :)
With music the way it is today, we almost don't like calling ourselves musicians. But look at it from where we're coming from. All these big bands make their music for the money. The only thing we're looking for is people to hear our music.
