Hello there, My name is Sabrina. As you have probably guessed I'm an aspiring musician & Songwriter. Music is my heart and soul, and I lay alot of my swet and tears into it. Do you play live?
Yes, I current play with a rock group. Maine Street (US) here on soundclick, we play several times a month.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Internet has changed the scope on several things. Not only is music more readily accessible but it doesn't take "knowing the right person" or "being in the right place at the right time" to get heard. I sure as hell wouldn't be able to get my music to people other than family and friends without it. Face it I'm no blonde bombshell, so its nice to have a nice alternative outlet.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
OH heck yeah!!! But I dont' NEED a label, and I dont NEED a contract. I do this because I LOVE it, and because its me. I'm going to keep doing what I do until I'm gone. A record deal or label contract isn't going to change that.
Your influences?
I'm influenced by everything from opera, broadway, blues, rock, country and alternative. I adore performers , not just singers but real performers. For example, Martina McBride, Melissa Ethridge, Rob Zombie (Great SHOWS!!) Indigo Girls, 38 special, Journey, STYX!!!, and of course people like Linda Ronstadt, emmy lou harris, and ALOT of show tune singers!!!
Favorite spot?
Being as I'm not all that traveled. I have to say I absolutely LOVE Northern Maine, everything is so untouched, and short drive away
Equipment used:
All My recording is done in a studio, so I have no idea what to tell you there. However I am a keyboard player, currently I use a Technics - p150 full size and try to accompany that with a Kawai k-12 (which is currently in the shop, its old!!)
