We are a 4 piece band from Orange County, CA that plays a hybrid mix of Punk, Alternative, Funk, Hip-hop, Rock, Metal, and Reggae
Why this name?
The band was formerly called 16 Ball. We changed the name to The Kearns after a friend of the band committed suicide, in his honor
Do you play live?
Not yet, we plan to soon.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
All that's needed to be said about this subject has been said already
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yes. They'd have to give us a damn good deal and reason for signing us though.
Band History:
We got together to play music, isn't that how most bands start? If so, then our history is pretty much like everyone else's.
Your influences?
Sometimes we'll have some laid back reggae, and the next song will be a funky punk song with chugging metal guitars. With us, we like the element of surprise, and we always like to keep people guessing. We want people to not expect what they're gonna get.
