I've been writing music for over 15 years using computers. Starting out writing MOD's and then XM's on Amiga and PC. I then started writing music using Cubase and now hack around with Reason, Acid, Renoise and whatever makes a nice bleep. I love all electronic music because it pushes the boundries of what people think music is.
Why this name?
F8 (UK) is the name I chose after migrating from using the name U4ia. I used to write music on an Amiga years ago. Its just fate. You can't change fate.
Do you play live?
I don't do concerts, yet.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
As the internet has always been my means of releasing music I think it has changed the music industry. Just look at the impact its having now with law suits flying as the music industry trys to keep what it thought was its own property. The mp3/internet rise has driven the music industry to rethink. Its just a shame they didn't embrace it when the first opportunity arose, rather than ignoring it and then damning it.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Given the chance and the right opportunity I beleive I would sign a contract.
