Yo... This is Steel Monroe, one of the dopest emcees up on here, hands down. Don't believe so, listen to my music. I represent the group The Suppliers, which consists of myself, Advasary, AP, Manifesto, Malo, J-Sice, Quette, Twan, and the duo Capital Punishment. I am also an affiliate of Noize Pollution Entertainment ran by my man Jeckylla, and them 5 Star Generals.
Why this name?
I got the name cause , like Steel, I can´be broke by no man, and Monroe because of Wesley Snipes character on Undisputed, Monoroe Hutchins, who was undefeated in all his fights. His character was also like, I'm respectful, but f*** with me and you'll suffer.
Do you play live?
I usually perform at this place called true school up the street from U Street/Cardozo metro station.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
cause... I´m on it.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
no doubt... But it's gotta be more of a distribution deal. More money involved.
