In my opinion, nature can be fully expressed only by electronic music. A composer is able to create sounds according to some ideas and precisely present what influenced his/her imagination. All these things make that I am very fascinated by electronic music. Surely, it is a kind of art giving a listener much more excitement than shallow, easy listening music abundant on the radio and television
Why this name?
'Certamen' was the name of my first band a I wanted to keep it to underline my way of life always with music
Do you play live?
I like playing live but I did not give many concerts. The best of my concerts was on Elmania radio for fans in the studio or in front of their radio receivers and computers
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The internet is a good souce of independent music that is supported only by itself not by personal connections. Every band or musician can be promoted and every fan of any kind of music can find good stuff.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
I would but I do not think that electronic music in Berlin school style is popular enough to be marked by any big label. So far, One of my records 'The storm is here' has been released by 'Syngate' records in Germany
Band History:
I began to be interested in electronic music when I was as a child and listened to the hits composed by Vangelis and Jarre but only music of Tangerine Dream and Klaus Schulze firmely turned me to this kind of music. Analog synthesizers were very expesive in the 80's so I could not afford to buy cheap equipment. In the past (1990-1994) I played the drums and was a vocalist in a death metal band 'Certamen'. We gave many concerts and I found much pleasure being a member of the band. The most interesting event was a charity concert in 1993. Fortunately, after the time the members of the band did not want to play any more, development of computer and digital technology lowered the prize of synthesizers a lot and that allowed me to buy my first syntesizer Roland Alpha Juno-1 ;)

Your influences?
Nature, universe, distant worlds, Solar system or my life are my musical influences and all I feel at the monent of playing or composing. Tagerine Dream and Klaus Schulze were bands that enabled me to think about electronic music as a very pleasurable hobby
