Formed in the latter part of the 90's, Mantra deals with personal politics and the workings of the inner soul. Combining a disturbingly beautiful and twisted mix of ambient/industrial/metal

Mantra is on extended Hiatus for the foreseeable future.

Why this name?

mantra: noun (originally in Hinduism and Buddhism)
1. a word or sound repeated to aid concentration in meditation
2. a Vedic hymn

Generally speaking I play dead!

How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?

The mp3/internet changes everything for the music industry. For once it puts the fans in the driving seat and that's something that the mainstream has little control over and the major labels are terrified of.

Would you sign a record contract with a major label?

That would depend upon the deal
