Welcome to Evan's Orchid. This site contains music which was almost lost forever. Many of these tracks were recorded originally on analog equipment and have just recently been digitized. These songs are raw, diamonds-in-the-rough which do need some polishing. I hope you enjoy listening to these tracks as much as I enjoyed rediscovering them.
Why this name?
I like the way it rolls off the tongue.

How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The internet allows access to many artists who may otherwise not be able to afford to obtain the attention of persons in the music industry.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yes
Band History:
This is my own personal project, not intended on being heard by anyone else but myself and those who stumble across this page. I'm planning on rotating the songs from time to time.
Your influences?
There are too many to list. The Beatles, Talking Heads, Smashing Pumpkins, The Smiths, The Church, The Police, Love and Rockets, Bauhaus, Pink Floyd, David Bowie and many others.
Favorite spot?
Driving in my car.
Equipment used:
Fostex multitrack recorder, Alesis Drum Machine, Fender Base Guitar, Yamaha Acoustic Guitar, Steinburger Electric Guitar, and other sundries.
Anything else...?
I hope to get feedback from industry professionals and the members in this artist community regarding the songs I have submitted. Secondly, if the first part goes well, to record the songs in a professional recording studio. And, thirdly to distribute the songs in what ever manner is deemed appropiate.
