The music group DayyStarr was formed in 2003 by bassist Mike "T-Bass" Boone and Vocalist/guitarist Yolanda "Gayle Winds" Boone whose chemistry and unique sound make them a local favorite. The band went on to later include "Jonnikhan" on lead guitar, "GavMan" on drums and "Dawn" as background vocalist. DayyStarr is a sunny blend of soulful folk to funky contemporary.
