The band Sako was put together in May 2002. In the original grouping were playing Juraj Marikovič (lead guitar & vocal), Peťo Hrabě (rhythm guitar), Martin Marikovič (bass guitar & backing vocal) and Juraj Kuzma (drums). At the beginning the guys practiced in a garage under the Prístavný most, playing mainly cover versions. After a year of playing they said goodbye to Peter Hrabě, who was replaced with Filip Minich (rhythm guitar & backing vocal) coming from the band Kde nič tu nič. After this change they started with their own production. In the summer the whole program was prepared and the guys were ready to perform. The first concert was at the festival Rock Park in Liptovská Osada and during the fall the band was performing in different local clubs in Bratislava. The spring 2004 is connected with another change in the structure of the band, because the drummer Juro was replaced with Peťo Hledík (drums) from the band MB1100.
