Your influences?
L-Pro: "I have had a love for music for as long as I can remember. I can remember when I was just starting kindergarten I had my own Fisher Price Turntable that I used to listen to some of MY vinyl on. I would always jam out to Ray Parker and Michael Jackson's Thriller album. My other early childhood influences include Harry Belafonte and the music that each of my parents listened to. My father listens to alot of music from the 1950s and 1960s mainly, moreso the 60s I'd say. So that includes everyone from The Beach Boys to Peter, Paul, and Mary (whom I've seen in concert). My mother listened to alot of music in spanish and I remember hearing alot of Julio Iglesias. My mother also exposed me to many of the pop hits of the 1980 including Prince, Michael Jackson, Madonna just to new a few. I have also been exposed heavily to rock, heavy metal, punk, hardcore, jam bands, house music (of varying types), drum & bass (of varying types), classical, blues, jazz, and of course HIPHOP!!! HipHop goes back as far as I can remember as well. Even as a preschooler I can remember watching the breakdancers on their piece of cardboard outside of the pizza shop, with their boombox pumping out the beats. I can remember getting a walkman as a youngster so I could go into my own zone on all the long car trips my family took as a kid. I didnt have many cassettes but I listened to them over and over. As I got older my collection grew in many genres. In the long run, since productions started, my influences have been my peers, both personal and those I compete with on a professional level."
