Winner of the 2004 KCCM Song Writer of the Year Award, Transparent Heart has once again earned their spot as multi award nominees, taking home the Best Live Performers of the Year Award in this year's 2005 Music Awards. With nominations for "Best Band of the Year," "Best Album of the Year," "Best Male Vocalis, "Best Female Vocalist," "Favorite Song of the Year" and winning the "Best Live Performers of the Year Award," it is obvious that Transparent Heart is not planning on stopping anytime soon. Taking home the "Song of the Month for November", for "My Everything", in 2006, at the KCCM awards dinner, was a great feeling for this year, too.
Why this name?
Our Band name was picked by Dave, our drummer and co-founder, who chose the name, based on a scripture in Hebrews.
"God's word is living and powerful...a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart...all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account."
Hebrews 4:12-13
Our hearts are transparent before the eyes of God. Nothing hidden nor out of view. This is reflected in the songs of Transparent Heart. Mankind, born of sorrows and grief struggle with their conscience concerning who and what they are as well as what their life is about. Transparent Heart sees their failures, their misgivings and their sin as it relates to their relationship with God. We are saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ our LORD. But, like Paul we grieve for what we are and long for what we will be. The songs of Transparent Heart are self reflections of Christian people who hate the sin and corruption they see in their world and in themselves. People with transparent hearts not only know what is in their hearts, they know God as well. If you grieve inside because of sin and temptations , the world we live in, the pain and sorrow you see and experience, then you will understand the music and concept of......

Your influences?
We have all come from such diverse backgrounds, when we add this all together, the mix can get very interesting, especially lately. I can't wait till our new cd is released!!! It is so different than what we are used too, it has been a blast to work on.

Anywhere we are able to join in and share our ministry, that is the place that we love to be.
