I go by acute because it exemplifies my stance on things. Im precise in everything i do and every word i choose to speak is used with the most explicit of intentions. Im also going by Honest J now but that has a much more complex explanation.

Ive participated at a couple of local emcee battles and post alot on EMCEEFORUMS.com, you can catch me freestylin' at a lot of parties and even out at the bars sometimes, pretty much anytime theres some people to spit with.

The internet is the new key to reaching the masses. Through it, unknown artists like myself have a chance to put music out there for all to hear (and like). It also helps to undermine the power of gigantic corporate record companies tyranny over the business.

Im a 21 year old philosophy/pre-law student @ the University of Kansas. I was raised in a suburb of Kansas City and have been listening to hip-hop and freestyling since early high school. Only recently (2005), have I attempted to hone my skills and produce quality full length songs workin with CeriousComplex and Def Starr.
