STILL is uh..... ok - it's basically one guy, Wade Biery. It's called a band because there are a few core people who play live with STILL, but STILL is really just Wade. Michael Martinsonn has been the guitarist/background vocalist for some time, and we have been joined by Eric Eldenius on drums. "The Distance" is STILL's first and current release. It was recorded under difficult circumstances over the time period between late 1996 and mid 1997. Mixed in late '97 and early '98, it was released to very positive critical review in July 1998. Since that time it has received many glowing reviews, as well as reaching many fans domestically and internationally. Numerous radio stations around the world have been playing cuts from the CD, as well as many Internet broadcasting stations, and it has recently been featured on Ellen K.'s "Future Tracks" nationally syndicated radio show. STILL has been at the forefront of the digital music revolution, winning many Internet band awards, as well as having the "Featured Song" and "Song of the Day" several times at several of the Internet's largest mp3 sites for independent music. STILL is currently playing wherever there are people listening, and is pounding many an unsuspecting fan into spreading the news about STILL, be it on their college campus, in the local laundrymat, or with the neighbor who is the head of some giant movie company. We are happy to have everyone along. If you have a person we should know, a place to put a poster, a station that you think would like us, or even a GOOD (no more dumb ones please) joke you think we would like, please let us know at still@stillmusic.com and we'll do something about it ASAP.
Why this name?
It leaves it all up to the listener to determine what it means
and.........
It was the only name on my list that didn't seem foolish and ridiculous, as well as pretentious. Process of elimination in full effect.
