I am the band. I started playing drums, then got a turntable. I used it and its mixer, along with a classic Casio SK-1 and a standard component tape recorder to cut a very weird album called Music for Mad Scientists. Then came a synthesizer and a much more polished album, Trans-Pacific Drift. Since then I've been focusing more on band stuff, where I just play drums, and have shifted toward computer-based composition in my solo stuff.
Do you play live?
My primary non-solo project, Deefunked feat. Monge, has made its appearances in Bangkok.
Favorite spot?
The Lowcountry of South Carolina, Bangkok, and (hopefully) La Paz.
Equipment used:
SONAR, Acid, hybrid acoustic-electronic drumkit with SPD-20, MC-505, Mackie 1202.
