Welcome to my Muse-ical world!

I am a Songwriter/Vocalist who creates original music using my Yamaha keyboard,
Garageband, various percussion instruments and loops.

Am currently seeking band members to work on originals and copy tunes.
Would like a variety band: Country, classic Rock, Pop, Oldies, newies,
Blues, Jazz. But am open to suggestion...

These are a few talented musicians who have contributed to some of my music.

Bill Craig: Guitar, Vocals/songwriter
Will Jacobs: Keys, piano, guitar, Vocals/songwriter
J.R. Richardson: Guitar, drums, Vocals/songwriter

(Am also currently working with many Wonderfully Talented musicians on Kompoz.com)

Why this name?
I love turquoise & roses. In the Native American culture turquoise is believed to heal & attract good friends.
Do you play live?
When I lived in the Ft. Worth area I did open mic nights
at the Rig & The White Elephant Saloon, and was a member of the FWSA. I love performing with a band more than I do as a single (safety in #'s I guess) but have and will perform as a single if the opportunity arises.
Every performance is special to me and I look forward to the next. I love interacting with an audience.
If they enjoy my music it makes all my efforts worthwhile.

How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It opens a window of opportunity many wouldn't have otherwise. It gives musicians/writers access to each other & to the public.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Try me!
Band History:
I have played with many bands over the years.
In Prescott, Ariz. I played with the Leroy B. Band ( four piece, Bluegrass/Country) at the Bird Cage Saloon on Whiskey Row.
Also played and recorded original music with several excellent musicians in many living room groups. (I wonder where they are today)?
When I moved back to Tx. (where I was born) in the mid-80's,
I worked with the band 'Flashback' in Dallas for four years.
It was a Variety band, six piece group, (Country/Soul/50's-60's-70's-80'smusic) with an excellent Elvis-Pelvis impersonator, Gary Ladell.
Did some studio demo work for our band and others.
Then in '89 I moved to Amarillo and sang with the band
KrackerJack.
Went to Nashville to plug some songs in '90, (Yes, I tried).
Moved back to the Weatherford, Tx. area in '92 and pursued my music through the FWSA.
Am still followin' the dream wherever it leads..... I love music!
Your influences?
Olivia Newton-John, Joni Mitchell, Emmy Lou, Ronstadt, Dolly Parton, Loretta Lynn, Patsy Cline, Fleetwood Mac(Stevie), Beatles, Stones, Eagles, Grace Slick, Heart, & many more.
Country, Bluegrass, Folk, Pop, Rock, Blues, Jazz, R/B.
Favorite spot?
Other than Tex...Ariz.,Colo.,N.Mex.,Canada
Equipment used:
I use a Yamaha Keyboard to come up with rhythms for melodies.
Using GarageBand 9 for creating the music
with the help of various loops here and there.
Sterling Audio Mic, Boss drum machine, percussion instruments.
Have also added a PreSonus Firebox interface and two Rokit studio speakers.
Anything else...?
Just want to play original music, (although I will sing copy tunes.) It's the difference between looking at photos from someone else's vacation or making your own memories.
