Why this name?
Our group name was originaly Boy'z in Da Hood and Mad Squad was just the whole crew in its entirety. A couple of months later I turn to "Bet" and this group appears on the countdown as the new joint of the day with the name "Boy'z in Da Hood," I believe they're signed with Bad Boy...basically we had to drop that name and stick with Mad Squad..
Do you play live?
We have yet to perform live, but I myself am constantly getting asked to freestyle or do something on the spot, constantly getting passed some insturmentals and asked to do tracks with people..so it's only a matter of time until i'm doing something live hopefully.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Well an example of how the internet helps the music industry is, 50 cent not to long ago opened up a contest where U can submit your mp3 to rbk and the winners gets certain prizes and stuff like that. Basically it helps U to be heard and the internet is vast so there are opportunities galore.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Oh for sure, that's one of the major goals i'm shootin' for.
Your influences?
My favorite rap artist alive would have to be Eminem, Cassidy comes in at a close second. I think Em's word play is incredible. And deceased would have to be Big L...enough said.
Favorite spot?
Hartford all day....
