We are a band consisting of 4 people in sydney, australia. Started as group of friends jamming, and then we slowly got into it and made our own songs.
Soon we organised performances, tried some home recording (to no success...), but we just doing it for the love of the music~! Not quite sure exactly what type of music we play... since everyone has their own tastes... so i just shoved us in 'alternative', but you guys can decide that i guess...

Why this name?
When we started the band, at the time, we had no bass guitar, and so the name was made.
Do you play live?
We play around Sydney, but hard to perform often, as we all have other obligations, (school, etc..)
But when we can, never think twice, and just go for it! Hell of a lot of fun!! =)

How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
mp3's are great as bands and musicians can spread their homegrown stuff around to be heard by everyone around the world!

Band History:
We started off in 2001, as this HUGE group of friends who liked music, more than a band. Then later the few of us who wanted to go abit more seriously stayed behind and in 2002, NoBass was born!
and after having lost two lead guitarists in the first year and half, Huiyin took that role, and we got Sung-Soo to enter the band as our bassist.

Your influences?
Lots of different influences... Huiyin is fully into Silverchair, Chilli Peppers and the grungy stuff...
Soo likes bands such as The Darkness, Blink 182, Linkin Park, like fun, energetic, yet real rhythmic stuff~~
James likes anything he can smash his drumkit with, but his fav band is Live.
and I just like to try everything out!

Favorite spot?
Dundas Valley........ a small suburb in north-west sydney.... gorgeous place i say!
