Why this name?
We decided that SOUL is the most important element in music, as it gives the feeling. It was a no brainer.
Do you play live?
We'd like to do a couple of shows, but haven't racked any up yet.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It's good for helping us get exposure, since we live in a smaller city.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
As long as it meant keeping it real. No need to sell out.
Band History:
Met about five years ago (2000) but didn't start working together until 2003, started developing a unique style, colloborated and recorded a single track. Evolution followed.
Your influences?
Al Green, Bootsy Collins, George Clinton and a lot of old funk & soul artists spanning generations.
Equipment used:
Two turntables, one microphone.
