My name is Jennifer Neyhart and I am the sole member at the moment of "Dawn Treader." My friend Erin (McClish) James co-wrote some of the songs that I will upload at some point" So technically The band, "Dawn Treader" doesn't formally exist yet, unless you count it as just me, myself, and I. However, God has given me at least a minor ability/talent in writing songs from the bottom of my heart as heartfelt prayers to God. I only hope that they can bless someone else too.
Why this name?
It would be an understatement to say that I am a huge C. S. Lewis fanatic! I fell in love with his writings initially through "The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe" when I was in second grade. From there I finished the Chronicles of Narnia and in college I read much more of his work. "The Voyage of the Dawn Treader" is one of the books in The Chronicles of Narnia. In this story, a group of faithful followers of Aslan (the Christ figure), are on a voyage to the end of the earth. It is a journey fraught with many dangers, trials, and obstacles to overcome, but in the end they do arrive in Aslan's country. The christian's life is about that journey of faith. It isn't easy, and there are many trials and temptations to overcome, but in the end, we will be in "Aslan's country"
Do you play live?
I play around Louisville, KY at different coffee house type venues through churches and Fishnet Ministries. I lead worship whenever I get the opportunity. I've led worship at church camps during the summers of 2002-2006. I led worship on occasion at different activities during my four years at Kentucky Christian University. (I played some of my original songs on occasion at KCU as well.)

I currently lead worship at my Bible Study through Southeast Christian Church.

There are few things I'd rather be doing than playing my guitar and singing praises to God.
Band History:
I started playing the guitar when I was a freshman in high school. I started writing songs when I was a Junior in high school. I just graduated from college in May and I have no idea if anything will ever actually happen with me and the music world, but I enjoy the gifts God has given me.
