Hola, we (and by we, I mean I) are Don Tomás. We (again, I) make electronic music. I (since saying we was stupid) hope you enjoy. =D
Why this name?
Don Tomás comes from my middle name, which I share with my good friend. We both shared a Spanish class, and found this out, and called ourselves Los Dones Tomás.
Do you play live?
I don't play live. Everything I make is all done on the computer with Fruity Loops (yes, you can laugh now). I've tried playing some of my melodies on the keyboard, but I can't do any of the faster stuff....and I like faster stuff. Hence, no playing live for me.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Although it opens up the way for a lot of illegal and bad activities, it's a great way to get your name out there. You don't have to make a demo tape and find the right person to give it to, you can post your stuff on the internet. If it's any good at all, it will be circulated around so fast, and somebody who can sign you will be bound to see it eventually. It's a great thing for music!
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
I don't think I'll have to worry about that. Not unless I suddenly get extremely good, and that's not gonna happen.
Your influences?
I'm not sure what my musical influences are. I was detached from music for so long, only getting into it once I got older. Thus, I seem to have no general style, and I do weird weird stuff sometimes.
Equipment used:
As I said above, it's all in FL. Yes, I'm a newb.
