“Miracle Records” proudly presents Liquid Groove Mojo. LGM’s new album, “Cradle to the Grave” is currently being released worldwide. The title track single from the album is now receiving airplay on the Walmart Worldwide Radio Network and soon will be available on Walmart.com. It has already been released to XM and Sirius Satellite Radio Networks. German and Polish music stores are carrying the new album, and it is also being released to over 100 radio markets nationally, along with all the major music publications.
The album was mixed by recording engineer, Jeff Brocaw, whose credits include 34 gold and platinum albums (Robert Cray, BB King). Jeff has also been nominated three times for Grammy awards. Mastering was performed by Greg Calbi at Sterling Sound in NYC. This year alone, Sterling Sound was nominated for a total of sixty-three Grammy Awards. As Greg Calbi put it, this album has “captured the Gov’t Mule/Allman Brothers vibe”.
Liquid Groove Mojo consists of Joe Pitts, Darrell Davis, Al Hagood and Brian Blankenship. These four musicians have a unique ability to come together and play as tight as a three piece power trio and turn right around and jam with improvisational guitar solos reminiscent of the legendary guitarists that have inspired them. Pitts and Davis has a strong musical background with having played over 600 shows together. Pitts has studied music at Berklee College of Music and Davis has studied music at the University of Arkansas. The rhythm section is nothing short of phenomenal. Hagood and Blankenship are a well oiled machine with a huge low end and a powerful drum groove that is considered to be one of the best rhythm sections around.
“Cradle to the Grave”, was written mostly by Pitts and Davis, either individually, or as a writing team. Also, included on the album, is a song by Warren Haynes (Gov’t Mule/Allman Brothers), and a song by the legendary Kinsey Report. It was recorded at Lonesome Oak Studio, in Hardin Arkansas, over a 6 month period in 2004/2005.

Why this name?
We were at a open jam, and did this free form thing, and afterward, people came up to us, and one said, "You got that liquid groove goin on", and someone else said, "yeah, got the mojo too" so it just stuck.
Do you play live?
LGM plays all over the mid south. Arkansas and all states surrounding, as well as states southeast of Arkansas.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The internet is fast becoming the wave of the future for album and CD downloads and sales. We think you'll continue to see it become huge in the next few years.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
If the time and place was right, yes, but, we'd rather continue to do our thing, but sign with a major booking agency.
Band History:
LGM was formed 4 years ago. The band has played all over the south, and continue to explore more possibilities. There was a live CD recorded before the new studio CD, and we've appeared on a tribute CD for a wonderful friend to the musical community in Arkansas. We've played the Crossroads Musical Exhibition, as well as the International Blues Challenge.
Your influences?
LGM has been compared to the Black Crowes, and Arc Angels, and on the jam side, to Gov't Mule and the Allman Brothers Band. Throw in some Billy Gibbons and Robin Trower, and you pretty much have the whole gamut of LGM.
Favorite spot?
Any where there is people who thrive on live music.
