Cross electronica with Alan Parsons, a bit of Depeche Mode and Dead Can Dance - stir well with jazz influences and classical music and you get my electronic music.

Ken Linder has written hundreds of compositions in many different styles (pop, alternative, ambient electronic, new age, gothic, gothic industrial, folk, classical, electronic classical and Jazz) over the years. This is a small sampling of his instrumental work. He is equally at home with an acoustic guitar as he is with a synthesizer and an electronic studio.

"In my instrumental music I work toward creating an auditory sound sculpture, a sensory emotional journey that conjures up images in the minds and sensations of the listener."
Do you play live?
I used to play live, until I became disabled. Now I can't do that so I use the internet to reach people.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The internet and inexpensive recording equipment has taken music out of the hands of the big labels and given it back to the musicians and the people who listen to our work.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
I would be very cautious. I have no desire to lose control of my work.
Your influences?
Depeche Mode, Dead can Dance, Tangerine Dream, old electronic music like (Jean Michele Jarre, Ray Lynch), Alan Parsons Project, Andreas Vollenweider, Silly Wizard, Pink Floyd, Rush, Mozart, Holst, Sammy Nestico, Al Hurt, Benny Goodman
Equipment used:
Audio Logic Delta, Mac G4, Yamaha TG33
Anything else...?
If you like my music, please leave me some feedback. Otherwise I will never know.
