E.CHIstyle Muziq is a up and coming independant label based in the Mid-West & West Coast. The roster consists of: Rob Villain, and TroubleSum, with more acts to follow. The label's first release will be titled "Get Down or Lay Down", and should be ready for release in Spring 2007.
Why this name?
I was born and raised in East Chicago, Indiana, and my style of muziq reflected where I am from...it's E.CHIstyle Muziq...feel me?
Do you play live?
We finishin' up tha material for some shows.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The internet is the gateway to free prmotion. It is able to reach into parts of the world that used to be unthinkable for hip-hop to be able to reach.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
I would sign a distribution deal for the label first, but if a Major approached be bout TroubleSum, or my-self for that matter I have to do the best for that certain individual, so if that means lettin' some one go, then so be it.
Band History:
I started rappin' my-self in like '89-'90. My boy Andrew and I would be at his house playin' ball and spiitin' shit. It grew on me, and in 1997 I started to take it seriously. In 2002 I started to concentrate on Films more, but now it's 2006, and I am hungry!!!
