Thad Foster grew up in a hot little desert town on an Indian Reservation in Arizona. A line from one of his songs says " Moved to the city in my youth, never looked back, never knew I missed it. But now I'm a man and I long to go back, take me back to those towns with their big Oak Trees, Take me back to the good ole country!"
He explains what he misses about a simpler life away from the city. "Many people think that Country Music is all about pick up trucks, and double wide trailers! Not true! Country Music is about real America. The America that the people living in the big cities never see. The people that grow the food and are the back bone of the American Economy. Plain honest folks that look out for each other in time of need and reach out to others when they are hurting, or maybe just need a shoulder to lean on. Hard work, discipline, self discovery, and the same determination that the pioneers of this land had that enabled them to settle and tame it. To me, that's what Country Music is all about." says Thad.

Why this name?
That is my given name. LOL!
Do you play live?
I have played in lots of places....from Pomona, California to Baguio City, Philippines...Kobe,Japan....Mexico City, Mexico. I just love traveling and sharing my music.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Yes it helps get people the exposure that in years past they could only get by a much longer and more time consumimg journey. BUT....perhaps that was good, because along the way the experience helped shape the artist in a better performer.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Of course! I'm talking with two right now. But it's all talk for now....nobody has cut me a check yet! LOL!
Your influences?
Roy Acuff, Lefty Frizzel, Ernest Tubb, Flat and Scruggs, Bill Monroe, Glenn Miller, Hank Williams, Gene Autry, Ray Price, John Denver, Brad Paisley, Randy Travis, George Strait, and George Jones to name just a few. I am also really influenced by the great songwriters that have contributed so many great songs to these artists and the many others like them.
Favorite spot?
Williams, Arizona.
