Hi, my name is Mike Kennedy. This is a collection of songs I have written. some are new, some are old... some of the old ones were co-written with my good friend, Glen Douglas and help from our good friends and band mates of the time.
Why this name?
which band ? The Rayn came from me wanting a band named 'Rain' but learning that there was already a Beatles Tribute band by the same handle... so changed the I to a Y as a nod to the Byrds and went on with it.
Argyle Tattoo ... i came up with that one while sipping a cold brew @ my favorite watering hole of the day The Crystol Pistol. A very 'punk' lady walked in..she was wearing ..you guessed it, an Argyle sweater..and every bit of skin visible was tattood. what a combo.. danny millspaugh probably remembers her name. hmm..
For Strange Americans.... well i don't know what made me think of it, but i liked it. We also did the acrynom thing.. FSA that sort of thing... short lived band that led to birth of The Rayn.

Do you play live?
not really ...maybe at church on a rare occasion
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
mp3... makes music alot more lo fi . internet... makes music alot more accessible to those who are looking.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
uh, no way..
