The Palouse Country Cowboy Poets Association is a group of musicians and poets that put on a yearly Cowboy Gathering. We try to keep the old Western Spirit alive by our songs and poems.
Why this name?
The group started in Palouse, Washington; so the name.
Do you play live?
We attend Cowboy Gatherings all over the West Coast and some of our members travel as far as Texas and New Mexico for award shows and performances.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
We think that the new technology is here to stay and will help us greatly in our quest.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
A record deal would be a great thing for our artists.

Your influences?
Our influences are varied, but we like to call our music Cowboy Western.
Favorite spot?
I love our area in the Northwest. I love Seattle and Portland, but for outdoor fun give me high country around Lolo pass.
Equipment used:
We use mostly acoustic instruments for our shows. Our PA is anything from a small 700 Watt system and a six channel board with powered speakers to a 4,000 watt outdoor Peavey black widow System with 18" subs and a 16 channel board.
Anything else...?
We promote what cowboys used to do around the campfire; singing songs and reciting poetry, and tall tales, and maybe some dutch oven cooking or chuck-wagon meals. It is an addictive form of entertaining and once you get a taste it seems you keep going back for the tall tales and the good family style entertainment. Sometimes we even have a dance late into the evening, or just a good old fashion jam session.
