Out of the 6th Borough of New York, Comes a rapper with many stories to tell. Qardan is a resident of the city of Newburgh, NY and a former member of the Shadows in the Dark. Qardan has been heavily influenced by hip hop for years. Qardan began rapping in 1997 with the encouragement of his former rap partner the Advocate. Soon after the two formed the group called Shadows in the Dark. While the Shadows in the Dark were together, they created a fan base not only in the Upstae NY area but throughout the United States. Qardan has been building quite a reputation by utilizing various online media to reach the masses. The attention and responses he has received online and by mail are far beyond what he had imagined. Qardan has appeared on local and college radio stations, and was featured in the July 2004 edition of "Hear It Loud" magazine. He was featured on the hip hop site DigitalMental.com and also appeared on an independent mix CD for Urban Magazine. Hiphop-Magazine.com (a highly viewed German website) interviewed and featured Qardan along with his former group member Advocate. Pulse Magazine did a feature and review in the December 8th issue on the project that the two were working on before they split.
