Why this name?
Well, it's just my first name. Why just it? I like to think my readers call me by name.
Do you play live?
No. Not yet, at least.
If you make it big..?
What...?!
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Internet and mp3 (and their future upgrades) will totally reinvent the music industry. And it's gonna happen faster and faster. There will be new ways to promote and sell music, but also to create it: maybe virtual jam sessions will be a feature of the new scenario: maybe an artist from U.S. will have a session with a London based one.
Music will benefit this new possibilities, altough the big guys of music industry are trying to close the doors to innovation, well... mp3 will definitely win.
This don't necessarily mean the death of CDs and "traditional" music: not everybody owns a PC, or feel confident in using it. But new devices will make CDs a niche market, more and more.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Today, yes. Next year...maybe no!
