I am a hip hop artist, that just makes all kinds of hip hop music, typically I shy away from all the violent and misogynistic tendencies of many hip hop artist, but sometimes I will use those means to make a point. I usually do all my own production, I have a few friends of mine that record with me in my studio in a bedroom of my house, so its pretty cool.
Why this name?
I watch a lot of Star Trek, and Mr Spock would always say illogical, and ill has always been a word associated with hip hop, ill dot, basically means I'm ill. period.
Do you play live?
I occassionally play live. I have rapped in the FSU student Union several times, but no real special moments.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I think the internet and mp3s make music more accessable to people who just dont like to buy music, and lets more people know about the artists.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?

Talib Kweli, Cormega, Public Enemy, George Clinton and the Parliament Funkadelic, Al Green, Barry White, The Temptations, James Brown, Queen, The Beatles, The Four Tops, Cameo, mostly older music, and conscious and lyrical hip hop.
