The Sun Dogs are a classic rock power trio based in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island Canada.
Comprised of Steve "Tasty" MacNeill, on percussion and vocals, Todd "Pickled" King on Guitars, Keyboards and Vocals, and Dr.Tone, "well seasoned" on Bass, the Sun Dogs have everything that recipe for a good rock band requires.
Best consumed with cold beverages.
Why this name?
A local news show did a freature on "Sun Dogs", those rainbows that borderthe siun on extremely cold dry days in Canada, and we aggreed that it could have alternate meanings of a libatiouse and funloving nature. The name stuck.
Do you play live?
the Sun Dogs can be seen performin in and arround Charlotteotwn wherever people seek tasty rock'n.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
No. We would prefer to use a pen. Preferebly one that works and does not leave nasty blue sh*** on our hands that gets rubbed on the corner of your mouth when your eating hotdogs with rellish.
Band History:
On June 18th, 1967 James Marshal Hendrix burned a Stratocaster at the Montraux Pop Festival and Todd King was born at the Charlottetown Hospital. Coincidence or conspiracy?

Todd began playing guitar in 1982, learning by ear and through the influence offriends. A veracious reader and self motivated learner, Todd soon began playing in local bands. He is known as an aggressive player with a good sense of melody and dynamics.

You may have seen Todd performing with:
Paper Cross, Frozen Rose, Something Green in the Back of Your Fridge, The Legendary Ray Ray Willis, Buttonfly, Laud (loud, Brother Hooch & Sugar Daddy

Steve MacNeil is best know for his work backing up Roger and Davis in "Parts Department". A solid tempo laid back drummer, Steve has held the pocket for Charlottetown's best rock bands.
Dr. Tone has been writing prescriptions for groove since the beginning of time.
Your influences?
ZZ-Top, Willie Dixon, Van Morrisson, David Wilcox....and every hot little momma that ever shook her thang to the beat.
