A North East based UK Hip Hop artist.
I've been at this for around about 4 years now in terms of writing and about 3 in terms of recording.
I like to think of myself as a perfect mix of a psycho from a horror film, that geezer from a beautiful mind and a cocktail of drugs and alcohol...that pretty much sums up the musical stylings of me.

Why this name?
Well SkitzofreniK came about when I got a bit bored of the old name DeeKay. So I decided it was best to change it.
SkitzofreniK was my choice because it could be shortened to 'Skitzy' (which is what i prefer to be known by nowadays) which is paranoia caused by weed. so my name basically suggests that my music is like a drug that will f*** with your mind in an enjoyable way....clever eh?

Do you play live?
not as much as I would have liked. I actually only ever did one show which was the hip hopera at the sage with the other member of XPLOSIVMINDZ (X-Mindz) Tweedy. The rest has been random shitty spits whilst walkin home from a night out in Sunderland.
The aim is definately to start doing more live stuff right after me and Tweed sort out X-Mindz CD.

How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It makes it free to start with. I mean at this moment in time its the only way I can get anyone who's reading this to listen to my music and get some recognition for the work I've done
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
You bet your sweet arse I would. anyone who says otherwise is a frigging lier!

I also like rock music and dance/trance/whatever the f*** else its called..

Favorite spot?
newcastle all the way, even though i live in mackem land at the minute i still prefer it due north.
Equipment used:
a microphone, headphones...if you want codenames for them like an XJ-20-K-4000 condenser microphone then you care way too much! its just a f***ing mic!
