Killer Kitten is a three-piece band hailing from Valparaiso, IN, that is dedicated to their own unique style of aggressive genre bending, improvisation, and one time recordings.
Why this name?
It ties back to the first band we were in that was actually popular - Catfish Courtesy. Plus, Killer Kitten sounds kool.
Do you play live?
As of this interview, no, Killer Kitten hasn't played live, but soon, we hope to!
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Bands like us can a good footing and do lots of self-promotion.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
No one would want us, but no.
Band History:
Killer Kitten is the gathering and over-lapping of three individuals into one neat and tidy French braid.
Each member concentrates on what they consider to be the best National Public Radio has to offer
and channels it through their instruments. Taking cues from the slightest riff, beat, or phrase, each whisker
of Killer Kitten is sensitive enough to ready the stealthy muscles of its members as a whole.
Your influences?
Sonic Youth, Minutemen, Daniel Johnston, Jerry Seinfeld, the blues, no-wave, art rock, etc!
Favorite spot?
Bloomington, IN.
Equipment used:
Drums and Guitars.
Anything else...?
Check us out: Killer Kitten!
Or the original flavour: Catfish Courtesy! Also fun!
