A one man band. I play a mix of alternative rock/hard rock/funk music that I try as hard as possible to keep interesting, and cliche free, while still easy to "get". I write, produce, perform, record and mix all of the music myself (unless otherwise noted).
Why this name?
I heard the word "Folderol" in a Fugazi song, and looked it up, and really thought it was a very interesting word.
Do you play live?
I would play live if I had a band for this music (I am in a band, but the songs on this site either aren't appropriate for that band, or for some personal reason, I felt I needed to separate them from that band).
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It is a blessing and a curse, I think. The ability to "file-share" is a great way to get new music to people who would otherwise never hear certain music, but it is unfair to the bands (not greedy record companies) if those people just download the music and never actually go out and buy the cd/tape to support the musician.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
I would, as long as I retained full control of my own creativity. How can someone allow a company to keep their own creativity under rein?

I bought a guitar, some recording equipment, a bass and a drum machine, and went to work...
