FULL COLLAPSE is a hardcore punk band from Ipswich in England. We play it short, fast and furious and with a lot of passion. The 4 members of our band are all different people but we are united by a common love of hardcore.
Why this name?
We were originally called false alarm but decided to change the name due to the large number of other false alarm's in the world! After sitting round a table in the pub together, Wibby, our guitarist, suggested full collapse.
Do you play live?
We play live whenever we can! Do we like it? What kind of question is that?! IT'S THE BEST PART OF BEING IN A BAND!!
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
MP3's are vital in that they provide the opportunity for small bands to get heard on a global scale. In addition to this people can now get hold of albums they would otherwise have no other way of coming into contact with. It also hinders the major labels ability to trick poor fools into buying really bad albums based on a single which is great!
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
I wouldn't be interested in that, I wouldn't want our music to be under someone else's control.
Band History:
We have been together since june 2004 and are playing gigs regularly. We have 2 demo CD's one called "sessions" and the other called "eyes of truth"
Your influences?
Minor threat, Black flag, Misfits, 7 seconds, bad brains, gorilla biscuits, knuckledust.
Equipment used:
Squire guitar and bass, mesa guitar amp...erm...I dunno lol! Any old bit of wood with a few wiry bits of metal attached!
Anything else...?
Check out the following great bands: The devil rides out, The volunteers, Impact, tales told in the dark, First motion, All or none.
