Producer/Engineer of UK Hip Hop, UK Garage and Urban Pop/R'n'B. All music by Spy, all lyrics by the vocalist(s) [except where otherwise stated].
More of a production house/ideas arena than an artist/group (think Neptunes as opposed to N.E.R.D.)

Why this name?
This goes back to my pirate radio days. I sometimes used to literally climb up the side of a building to get onto the rooftops, thankfully this wasn't always necessary!
Back further, when I was a comic-reading, nappy-headed boy, Peter Parker's alter ego was my favourite character too.

How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
On the one hand it's opened up doors for unsigned acts to get their music heard, which is (or can be) a good thing.
On the other hand, if you want to make money from making music, unless you're already on a big label that can afford to absorb some of the loss in revenue caused by piracy and illegal downloads, it can very difficult to do so.
Personally speaking, I make music because I love music. It would be great to make enough money off of music that I could make it my full-time gig but music was around before money and will probably outlast it too. As long as I'm enjoying what I do I'm happy to continue for free.

Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Well, I'm not an artist myself but I wouldn't discourage any of the artists I work with from doing so, provided that they have the contract checked out by an entertainment lawyer first.
Band History:
My music 'career' began with me DJ'ing at school friends' parties. I continued as an operator/selector for a local sound, whilst simultaneously 'working' as a presenter on a series of unlicensed radio stations - Faze 1 FM, Switch FM, Rock 2 Rock and PowerJam.
I'm now the producer/engineer of UK Hip Hop, UK Garage, UK Dancehall & Urban Pop/R&B for a small collective whose aim is to bring good, dirty urban beats and spread the message - "One Love, One Aim, One Big Party".
Music has always played a large role in my life and always will. Almost every good memory I have has a tune attached to it as if my life were a movie with its own soundtrack album.
I want to hear from you if you're a musician, vocalist, engineer or producer looking for an outlet for your work or if you wish to share/collaborate on a track/project.
