About the song
This song was recorded in my apartment, which is in Japan, around early August 2006. This is a mix of Take 1 that emphasizes synthesizer. I had pulled it down for the more acoustic mix which I appended Take 2 to; Annie Laurie (Take 1 & 2). I feel this synthesizer mix fits better in the World General Charts. See Annie Laurie (Take 1 & 2) for more info.
Lyrics
William Douglas of Fingland original words (not used here);

Maxwelton braes are bonnie, where early fa's the dew
Where me and Annie Laurie made up the promise true
Made up the promise true, and ne'er forget will I
And for bonnie Annie Laurie I'd lay doun my head and die

She's backit like the peacock, she's breistit like the swan
She's jimp aboot the middle, her waist ye weel may span
Her waist ye weel may span, and she has a rolling eye
And for bonnie Annie Laurie I'd lay doun my head and die
