Watch out, some may find this harmonica recording too piercing for their ears.

About the song
This is the Christmas Carroll, It Came Upon A Midnight Clear, which I recorded the guitar track and harmonica tracks to, in December 1992 in London, Ontario. This October (2005) I played with effects to see what I could make out of these 2 tracks of a cassette 4 track tape recording.

The poem was written by Edmund Sears (1810-1876), in Wayland, Massachusetts. It was printed on December 29, 1849. The music was composed by American musician Richard Storrs Willis in 1859.

Lyrics
It came upon a midnight clear,
That glorious song of old,
From angels bending near the earth
To touch their harps of gold:
"Peace on the earth, goodwill to men,
From heav'n's all gracious King!"
The world in solemn stillness lay
To hear the angels sing.

Still through the cloven skies they come,
With peaceful wings unfurled,
And still their heavenly music floats
O'er all the weary world;
Above its sad and lowly plains
They bend on hovering wing;
And ever o'er its Babel sounds
The blessed angels sing.
