There's only one. Mr. Bellicosity is here.
Why this name?
Back in 1999 I was reading a book about Marcus Garvey and I came across the word bellicose. I looked it up and it best described my rap style.
Do you play live?
Yes. I've performed in Chicago, Pontiac, Detroit and Atlanta. Performing live is one of the best feelings especially when the crowd is giving you live energy.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The Good: Many underground artists can get worldwide exposure.
The Bad: There's alot of bullshit out there.
The Bad: There's alot of bullshit out there.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
No, I'd rather land a distribution deal for my independent label, 1241 Inc.
Band History:
Formerly of the group called The Nati, Bellicose and his former rhyme partner released their debut album through Ichiban entitled "The B.S. Factor" in the summer of 1998. They performed on the same stages as Do or Die, Crucial Conflict, Shawna, Strings, Twista, and Boyz II Men.
After the group's breakup in '99 the artist formerly known as Mood Swing became Bellicose. After forming his new company 1241 Inc. and establishing a new crew, The Underbelly, work hasn't stopped. Look out for new projects by Cose&Lo (myspace/coseandlo), Mr. Bellicosity (Music 2 Ride 4), J Seuss, Yac Da Liquor Man (myspace/yak1241) and Maggeddon (myspace/etareneged)
