Im an aspiring acoustic guitar player who works with a variety of people, collaborating on different projects. Recently have been writing a lot of material. Im not much of a lyricist and more of a musician, meaning I write a lot of acoustic guitar music without words. Im hoping to eventually form a more perminant setup.
Do you play live?
Mostly play informal public places, like coffee shops and parks. Ive played a few open mic's at college. I have not played for an audience for awhile, but I am working on songs hoping to build up my repetiour.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Maybe down the line, once I develop a style and a voice and a solid band, yes, but only if they'll give me some flexibility to do my/our work
Band History:
I picked up guitar my freshman year of college from my roommate. I had tried to teach myself years before how to play guitar with no success. Once I started to understand how to play, it just went up from there. Ive been playing for almost 4 years now. Ive never had any formal training, though will seek some in the future.
Your influences?
Rock from the 60s, 70s, and 80s, as well as the Alternative Rock from the early to mid 90s. Recently have been inspired by the singer/songwriter movement, specifically Jack Johnson, Howie Day, Jason Mraz, Ben Kweller and Elliott Smith. Other influences include Phil Keaggy's "Accoustic Sketches", Bela Fleck, Tom Petty, Phish, The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, 311, Dave Matthews Band, Miles Davis, and so on.
Favorite spot?
Philadelphia and Pittsburgh
Anything else...?
Im just putting up some of my music to get some reactions from the rest of world. I know I dont have a strong voice and am hoping to get voice training down the line as well, but I am doing the best I can with what I got, and I think I have some real potential as a guitar player.
