I am a beatmaker from Indonesia, I'm formerly a skratch DJ, and now I make instrumental hiphop and other weird beats

Do you play live?
Sometimes I perform on-stage as a battle DJ or additional DJ for bands, but now I'm mostly focused in producing beats and remixing projects. I play in Indonesia, from Jakarta to Bali but mostly in Bandung. I really enjoy playing in front of huge crowd, And I would've enjoyed it more had the turntables were any lighter and I didn't have to carry them everywhere myself.. Oh yeah I also got into the finals in the 2003 Indonesian DJ Collaboration Festival
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It's crazy, people have less respect for mucisians since you can buy like 5 fully bootlegged albums for 50cents. However, I really like the idea of online music shop, also it forces artists to come up with really good singles, rather than watering down their album with b-sides. Anyways I think people should always SUPPORT their fave artists by buying original CDs/casettes!
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Dunno, if they wouldn't force me to make poppy beats, I guess I would.

Your influences?
I try hard not to copy other people styles, however I have a high tendency to mash em up all at once hahaha.
I'm really into almost everything from triphop, 90's hiphop and rnb, abstract hiphop, alternative hiphop, 70's breaks/funk/soul, bigbeat, downbeat electronica, ,weird indie alternative stuff, and even 60's lounge music! so anything weird goes as long it's original, atmospheric or hiphop based. My biggest influence is the dust brothers
