Frank White is the main character in "King of New York", great flick, loved the character and name so much I just took it as my own, plus a few similarities

Oh yeah, and Biggie was registered under that name at his hotel in L.A. the night he was killed. Kinda just picking up the slack where he left off, ya dig?

Hurts and Helps.

It hurts by taking money away from artists who would otherwise get paid for their efforts by fans using file-sharing programs, but at the same time it's hard for me to criticize, because I do the same.

It helps alot too, though, because some fans might not even become fans because they might not know enough about the artist to shell out money for a CD, whereas when they go on the internet and download the track, they get to find out what the artist is about and what they like and dislike. Case in point, Lil Wayne. I didn't give a damn about him until I heard him on some mixtapes, most notably "The Suffix" (great tape, cop it if you haven't), now I love his shit. A little less now that I'm SO FAMILIAR but same priniciple, none the less.

The first rap album I copped was Bone Thugs-N-Harmony "E. 1999 Eternal", I just loved the creativity and the actual SINGING (if thats what you want to call it) so I try and incorperate alot of melody into my tracks.

The most influencial figure by far, though, has been The Don himself, Makaveli AKA 2pac Shakur. I take alot of my ambition to write and record songs with SOME KINDA MEANING AND EMOTION from him, either political or otherwise. Peep "GOTTA HAVE IT" for an example. Deep political track. You can only rap about the pits and falls of street life so long in such generic terms before it becomes tired and boring. I prefer the former.
