The name "alternate earth" was taken from the sci-fi TV show "Sliders" which we happen to be fans of. Also, the A is the first initial of Zar's secret identity & the E is the first initial of Rina's. We also both enjoy A&E more than any other cable network. And as we all know, life is full of agony & ecstacy, our favorite example of polarity for you wiccans out there. Also "alternate earth" seemed to suit our idea that music can change the world, since the earth currently sucks big-time. We tend to use our ideals & music to create our own new little world and we think you should join us in that.

Up til now, most of our gigs have been tag-team DJ sets. However, we are putting a full band together for our upcoming tour. We love playing live more than anything. We can occasionally be found playing acoustic gigs. Our most memorable gig so far is probably LOVE CAMP in Atlanta because of all the painted naked people.

We plan to buy a big piece of land in IDAHO and build an artist commune/planned community called "UDAPIMP." We also plan to devote a lot of time and proceeds towards various charitable organizations. We will probably also adopt some children since Rina can't have any. Also, make sure our parents are taken care of after they retire.

Hopefully it will spread our music and our name all over the world. We feel it's a very postive tool and look forward to seeing it evolve & grow.

We're looking for the right label. We do so much ourselves- such as production,PR, marketing, merchandising - all we really need from a label is manufacturing, distribution and tour support. We would love a limited partnership deal that allows us to maintain full creative control of our music with minimal recoupment.

We grew up together between Washington, DC & Baltimore. Rina's sister dated the bass player from one of Zar's bands. Zar started our playing piano at age 4, guitar at 7 & now he is a virtuoso. Rina started playing keys at 5 & Djing in the rave scene at 16. We both traveled all over pursuing our musical careers before we ran into each other on Rina's birthday in Ocean City, MD. We've been together ever since. That was 1997 and since then we've created over 5 hours of original material together. Our music is a combination of both of our influences. We are partners romantically and professionally and our relationship continues to grow and evolve just as our music does.

What don't we use? We record a lot of our own samples, so we swear by the Roland VS 880. We also love our Triton. Guitars by Paul Reed Smith too. Sonic Foundry Rules. Elixer strings, Boss Drum machines, Grooveboxes, V-Drums & Widget Guitar Midi Interface.
